The provider will continue to use CityFibre's fibre-to-the-premise network.
Giganet has announced they are to rollout their broadband service to 22 new locations.
As part of ongoing partnership, the Fareham-based provider will expand CityFibre’s FTTP (fibre-to-the-premise) network and use it to deliver their broadband packages.
The towns and cities set to be covered by the new project include Bournemouth, Brighton and Hove, Cambridge, Eastbourne, Gloucester, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Maidenhead, Slough and Weston-Super-Mare.
There’s not yet any details available about each individual rollout but Giganet has recommended that customers register their interest in order to stay updated.
The build should eventually be able to give around 1.8 million homes in the South of England access to ultrafast speeds.
“Our latest expansion with CityFibre will allow us to connect more homes than ever across the UK, with honest and straightforward access to the best full fibre broadband,” said Giganet’s chief executive Jarlath Finnegan.
“Coupled with our recent £250m investment project, we’re very proud of the steps Giganet is taking to become one of the country’s leading Internet Service Providers.”
Giganet has also announced that they are to expand out their own full fibre network to connect up 300,000 premises across different parts of West Sussex, Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
